Ashok Gehlot & Sachin Pilot sworn in as C.M & Deputy C.M respectively.

·        Sachin Pilot will be the Deputy C.M who also took oath on Monday.

Catriona Gray is crowned for Miss Universe
·       Philippines contestant Catriona Gray has become Miss Universe 2018 in a competition concluded in Bangkok.
·       Miss Gray is the 4th from Philippines to crowned as Miss Universe.

India, Nepal & Bhutan are considering to allow free movement of wildlife across borders
·     The govt. of all the three nations India, Nepal & Bhutan will likely to have a joint task force to allow free movement of wildlife across the political boundaries of the countries.
·    It will also check to smuggle off the wildlife in the Kanchenjunga Landscape, which is a trans-boundary region across India, Nepal & Bhutan.

India, & France will work together on the Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project
·     During the meeting of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj & her French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian, is declared that both India & France will work on the Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project.
·      The project will include the building of six EPR reactors and will come under the “Make In India” initiative of the Govt.

Australia has recognized West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
·    Amid the long-term controversy of Israel & Palestine regarding the country’s capital, Australia has recognized West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
·    Notably, most of the nations including India recognizes Tel Aviv as the capital of Israel whereas Israel considers Jerusalem as its capital.

12 Indian Armed Force Personnel were honored on Vijay Diwas
·   On16th December 2018, during the 47th celebration of Victory Day or Vijay Diwas in Bangladesh, 12 Indian Armed Force Personnel were honored for sacrificing their lives during the 1971 war which liberalized Bangladesh from Pakistan.

Loss of 35 lakh Jobs in TMSME
·        According to the survey of All India Manufacturer’s Organisation (AIMO), TMSME ( Traders, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) has lost 35 lakh jobs.
·        It includes large, self-employed personnel such as tailors, cobblers, barbers, plumbers & electricians and other traders due to stiff competition from e-commerce sales.
·        The worst hit sector is of unorganized labor which includes plastic, matchsticks, dyeing units, printing companies etc.

195 countries have adopted Paris Rulebook
·       195 countries have adopted Paris Rulebook for implementing the 2015 Paris Agreement to strengthen the global response to climate change during the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 24 which was held in Katowice, Poland.

Earthquake hits Indonesia’s, Papua Province
·        Earthquake of 6.1 magnitude was hit in Indonesia’s Papua Province on 16th December 2018.
·        One of the 129 active volcanoes of Indonesia, Mount Soputan also erupted which is located on the quake hit zone called “ The Pacific Ring of Fire”.
·         Recently, in September 2018 Indonesia has suffered from a 7.5 magnitude of earthquake followed by Tsunami which killed 2200 people and more than a thousand missing.
