High-Level Meeting is organized between Indian & Indonesian Coast Guards
·  High-level meeting is organized between Indian & Indonesian Coast Guards from 16 to 19 December 2018 in Coast Guard Headquarters, New Delhion.
·    The purpose is to enhance cooperation between the Coast Guards in the field of maritime safety and security at sea.
·    The meeting held is the result of the 6th India- Indonesia Joint Defense Cooperation Committee (JDCC) meeting which was held on 9th Aug. 2018 in New Delhi and both sides agreed to have the high-level meeting.

MoU has signed between India & Australia regarding cooperation in the Disability Sector
·   A MoU is signed between India & Australia regarding cooperation in the disability sector at Sydney, Australia.
·     It will facilitate in improving the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities especially for persons with intellectual disability and mental illness in both countries.

India & South Africa agreed for Joint Issue of Postage Stamps
·    India & South Africa had agreed of Joint Issue of Postage Stamps by India & South Africa on the theme- “125th Year of Mahatma Gandhi’s Pietermaritzburg Station Incident & Birth Centenary of Nelson Mandela”.
·       The Joint Stamps were released on 26th July 2018.

Two new AIIMS to be established in Tamil Nadu & Telangana
·      Two new All India Institute of Medical Sciences will be established in Tamil Nadu & Telangana under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).

Approval is given for Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Tribal Areas
·   The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given approval for the setting up of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in every block with more than 50% of ST population and at least 20,000 tribal persons.
·       EMRS is a very unique & excellent approach to imparting quality education to ST children.

MoU is signed between India & Afghanistan in the field of Human Resource Development
·   India & Afghanistan has signed MoU on cooperation in the field of Human Resource Development.
·      It would facilitate students & faculty of Educational Institutions in Afghanistan to register and use the SWAYAM courses, upload the courses developed in Afghanistan on SWAYAM.

Ø It is India’s own Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) platform which offers various courses prepared by the best faculty from across the country.
Ø Till date 35 lakhs students have enrolled in it.
