Victory Day
·     Victory Day or Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 16th December every year to mark India’s military over Pakistan in 1971 during the war for the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan.

General Bipin Rawat will visit Tanzania & Kenya
·      Chief of the Army Staff General Bipin Rawat will visit Tanzania & Kenya from 17th December to 20th December.
·      This will be an official bilateral visit.

·   Under this programme the Union Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh has met a group of school children from Jammu & Kashmir to give exposure to them about the cultural & socio-economic development taking in other parts of the country.

P.M Narendra Modi has inaugurated 175 Km of sewage network in Prayagraj
·     P.M Narendra Modi has inaugurated 175 km of sewage network in Prayagraj during his visit to Rae Baraelli at U.P.
·       The project will help to reduce 7.8 cr liters of sewage per day falling into Ganga.

Bhupesh Baghel has been named as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh
The State’s Congress Chief, Bhupesh Baghel is named as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.

NTCA: 95 tiger deaths were recorded in the country in 2018
·    According to the National Tiger Conservation Authority’s records, India has recorded 95 tiger deaths in the country.
·       Out of these 41 deaths has been recorded outside reserves.

The Indian Navy will inaugurate IFC-IOR
·    The Indian Navy will inaugurate the Information Fusion Centre for the Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR).

This will help in exchanging informations on White shipping or commercial shipping with other countries in the region to improve maritime domain awareness in the Indian Ocean.
