Women of India Organic Festival 2018
On 26th Oct. 5th edition of the “Women of India Organic Festival” has inaugurated which is a 10-day festival, organized by the Ministry of Women & Child Development. It has culminated on 4th Nov. 2018 at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Janpath Road. Women farmers and Entrepreneurs across the country participated in it.

Ganga Gram Swachhata Sammelan
The Ganga Gram Swachhat Sammelan was held by Union Ministry for Drinking Water & Sanitation at Chyavan Rishi Ashram in Chousa village of Buxar District in Bihar. The aim is to transform the villages on the bank of river Ganga into ideal villages with emphasis on Open Defecation Free, Solid & Liquid Waste Management, Water Conservation, Ground Water Recharge, Modern Crematorium, Tree plantation, Organic & Medicinal Plants.

“India for Humanity”
The Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu has launched “India for Humanity” which is a worldwide programme at Lilongwe, Malawi, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. The aim of the programme is to give an opportunity to the world to take the message of Mahatma Gandhi as it seeks to celebrate the great values of humanism which Mahatma Gandhi embodied right through his life.

P.M met the First lady of the Republic of Korea
P.M Modi met the First lady of the Republic of Korea, Mrs. Kim Jong Sook. She is invited as the Chief Guest at the Deepotsav event, which is being organized by the State Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and the ceremony of the new Memorial of Queen Suriratna (Heo Hwang-ok) in Ayodhya on 6th Nov. 2018.
Notably, the legendary princess Suriratna of Ayodhya traveled to Korea in 48 CE and married Korean King Suro.

MoU was signed between India & Republic of Korea in the field of tourism
India & Republic of Korea has signed MoU for strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism. The MoU was signed by the Ministry of Tourism of India and the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Govt. for Republic of Korea.

Ministry of Tourism has inaugurated Tourist Facilitation & Information Counter, in New Delhi.
Union Minister for Tourism inaugurated the Tourist Facilitation & Information Counter at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and also starting facilitation counters in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Gaya, & Varanasi. The aim is to help the tourists visiting the country including non-English speaking tourists so that they can directly speak with the foreign language agents and they will also be connected to 24*7 helpline- 1363.

Raja Ram Mohan Roy award is presented to N. Ram
The prestigious Raja Ram Mohan Roy award has been presented to veteran journalist and the Hindu publishing group chairman N.Ram. The award is presented by the Press Council of India.
