Rescue work of Meghalaya's Mine Mishap will resume on Sunday
·         To rescue 13 miners who are trapped in water-filled coal mine in Meghalaya's East Jaintia hills will resume on 30 December, Sunday.
·         The rescue work is going on from December 13 by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) & the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) but both of them are not equipped to undertake operations in narrow rat-hole, coal mine.
·         Therefore, divers from the navy will resume the rescue work on Sunday.

·         The exhibition showcases the unseen drawings of artist Chhaganlal Jadav, Nandlal Bose, Upendra Maharathi, Ram Kinkar Baij.

India has submitted 6th National Report to the CBD
·         India, on 29 December 2018 has submitted 6th National Report to the  Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD).
·         The report was submitted by Ministry of Environment during the 13th National Meeting of the State Biodiversity Boards organized by the National Biodiversity Authority.
·         The report shows an update of progress in the achievement of 12 National Biodiversity Targets developed under the Convention.
·         India has accomplished two targets and now is in a track to achieve the remaining 8 targets by 2020.
